Certainly there was a slight teasing edge involved during the writing of this, the curtains bit wouldn't be in if not for that, but it was never intended as meta-commentary even if it possibly works like that. The inclusion of the stereotypical porn talk for a joke was only that, a joke between Jack and Ianto, them making fun of porn, not really a narrative/meta choice from me, even though certainly it can be seen as that. What I did want to bring across was definitely two people just enjoying themselves, laughing and having fun and being intimate with one another.

Writing comment replies I used the term "camera angle" a lot because I think it is a good one to describe what I usually do in fic, which is to use very unforgiving camera angles and I use the same here, but in this context it highlights the intimacy rather than highlighting the ugly edges BECAUSE they are so comfortable with one another. In a way thsi does feel like a very safe space for them, and it was enjoyable for me to write it and not write the other side of them that I usually highlight. As I said somewhere, it's a bit like comfort food.

As for the "You know you love me", it's something you can only say if you are utterly confident in the other person's love, I think, something you would never say playfully if you had any doubts, and for me that is what comes across in this. This story isn't just about them fucking, this one is about them in a serious relationship and with that, a huge change from my regular stuff.

Thanks for the comment here, and the ones on the original draft. Appreciate it, like always.
